Applications for Organizing

The North Coast States Carpenters Regional Council invites Journey level members to apply for the position of Organizer.

Salary, including any applicable overtime, will range from $118,000 to $146,000 per year.

All employees serve as “at will” employees of the North Coast States Carpenters Union.

Subject to the discretion of the Executive Secretary-Treasurer, Organizers should expect, but are not limited to the following work conditions:

  • Work the hours neccessary to complete assigned tasks
  • Work Saturdays and Sundays when necessary
  • Conduct web-based research
  • Extensive travel when necessary
  • Participate fully in union activities

Qualifications:

  • Be a Journey level member in a Carpenter covered craft
  • Must be teachable
  • Be a member in good standing of a local union within the jurisdiction of the North Coast States Carpenters Union for twelve (12) consecutive months prior to the application date
  • Be a member of the United Brotherhood of Carpenters for a minimum of two (2) consecutive years prior to application date
  • Possess good communication skills
  • Possess a strong work ethic
  • Be committed to the principles, mission and goals of the Union
  • Be a team player

*NOTE: The North Coast States Carpenters Regional Council is a labor organization governed by Federal Law. All candidates for employment must comply with the rules and regulations as stated in the Labor-Management Reporting and Disclosure Act of 1959, (29 U.S.C. 504) Section 504.

Applicants must provide the following information at the time of interview.

  • A valid state issued Driver License
  • An Official Current Department of Motor Vehicles Driving History Print Out
  • Current proof of auto insurance in applicant’s name

Applicants must be willing to undergo the following:

  • Comprehensive Background Check
  • Credit report history
  • Basic computer skills test
  • Attend a UBC 3-day evaluation class
  • Attend interview with the North Coast States Carpenters Union hiring committee
