We are excited to announce that in response to member requests for more efficient ways to pay over-the-counter dues, and to increase membership retention, the NCSCU, in collaboration with the Northern California Carpenters Trust Funds, has recently developed a new, optional way for union members to pay their over-the-counter Local Union dues.
You now have the option of signing an authorization card to have your over-the-counter dues deducted from your annual vacation mass payout each year. By signing the card, you authorize the Trust Fund to set aside the amount equivalent to your annual over-the-counter dues each year on or around February 1st. These dues will be forwarded to the Regional Council office and then dispersed to your Local Union on your behalf.
As long as your vacation fund has a balance sufficient to cover your dues, this payment will cover your over-the-counter dues from April 1, 2027 to March 31, 2028, so please make sure you continue to pay your dues directly to your Local Union through March 31, 2027. The vacation payout in 2028 will cover dues from April 1, 2028 - March 31, 2029 and so on.
